Chopstick Inn has mock meat BUT it is cooked with the same oil, they use the same pans, and utensils,that they use for every dish. We spoke to the owner tonight and he was very informative in telling us that they do not serve vegan food. |

My sister, mother and I went here one night, and there were a number of things wroung. First of all, the server (male was extremely rude to us, never smiled and never a happy look towards us. Second,to my disappointment (I am vegan) the food here is actually NOT vegan or even vegetarian! The oil they use is 'recyled' meaning the oil they use for the meat is also used for the mock meat and vegetables! As soon as we found this out, we left. He even made us pay for my sister's coke which was not even touched! |

Just ate there this afternoon and got extreamly good serves as well as good food. I had the the Veg Kung Pao Chicken and it was excellent the mock chicken tasted just like chicken. I am a new vegitarian and with food this good I don't think I will have a problem staying on track. |

This is a fabulous VEGAN dining experience for one and all. Annie, the owner, can whip up vegan delights not listed on the menu. A must for anyone in the La Mesa area. |

I have been going here for years, love all their veggie dishes. It's a clean place, family run,great service, peacful dining, white cloth tables - shorts, jeans or your Sunday best are all okay. They are open on Christmas and Thanksgiving which is where I go every year! |

Not a fancy place but the family that runs it are so personable. You can have sushi, chinese, japanese, and curries. The food is well made and the vegan choices are plentiful. Their tofu curry was fabulous, vegan 'meats' are soy based no eggs or other animal products. Prices are more than reasonable and you almost always have left overs, don't miss it! |
