About

|
Fine dining Lebanese cuisine with several Veg items on the menu. Hummus,Veggie Kabobs, Salads and Falafel dishes. This restaurant makes stuffed Falafel, the filling is made of sautéed onions and pine nuts. Most dishes at this restaurant have meat in them but they appear to be making an effort for vegetarians. |

This place was horrible. Literally the WORST DINING EXPERIENCE of my life. The food was terrible and the owner was a psycho. He said the meal was vegan but the pita was not. When we tried to leave quietly after the bad meal he asked us why we hadnt eaten. When we told him he started talking trash to us then over charged us out of spite. When we confronted him about it he started to make more of a scene. Btw, he did all of this in front of other customers! For more horror stories just google the place. Like my wife said after we left, dont walk, runnoosh! |

I do not recommend this place. Menu overpriced, my dish contained sad, soggy veggies and the sauce tasted old and reheated. The hummus was as good as Costco's(it probably was bought there now that I think about it). Wine list great--this place should be a bar instead. The owner bank-debited my party TWICE for our meal and still hasn't resolved it with my bank--after repeated requests. I have to go to small claims court now. Won't go back. |

We just ate here today - had the kebbeh appetizer and vegetarian platter. The kebbeh was wonderful, and the vegetarian version of it was incredible too. The hummus & baba were amazing, and the dolmas were good (I hate dolmas, and they were good). The falafel - yum! The mujadarra needed a little help, and the pita bread was dry. Yes, the prices are a bit high, but I guess they have to be to survive in a high-rent district. Overall, I would definitely go back. |

OK , so everyone had his/her own opinion about things and this is mine (take it or leave it) .. I am Lebanese and I think that should give me some credibility. This place's food was horrible. Eating tabbouleh at Rannoosh was like eating bland paper that painted and left dry. I read a review on here in which someone was putting down the salty review .. Umm .. food should not be salty so if you think extra salt in your meal is exotic you are wrong . So , yes the food was too salty and that was awful . I hate the service at Medgrill so I guess all this place has going for it is semi good service ... Food from the Medgrill and service from Rannoosh on a good day would be a good combo. In other words the food is not too good and the prices are a joke but the service is ok . |

This place was sooo good! The food was amazing
menu loaded with veg and vegan options. have the biggest selection of Vegan, Very reasonable prices too. I ate dinner at this restaurant on a Thursday, our first night of a recent trip to San Diego. Parked right in front of the restaurant. and this place is one of the reasons why! I love your wholesome vegan food and the service is friendly, too:) Cool outdoor cafe seating! |

Best Falafels in town. I dont know what the saltlick person was talking about because I went with my family and, as a Lebanese American with Lebanese Immigrant parents, this food was well made and gave a genuine introduction to our native food. The service was very friendly, the entertainment was very charming, the food was priced right. The belly dancer played us some nice native music and entertained everyone. My folks felt like they were at home. Its a great dinner experience and a great variation of the San Diego theme! I love it! |

I see complaints about saltiness and I must say I've never experienced this. The staff have always been fantastic, the food ridiculously delicious and the atmosphere appealing. I have been dining at Ranoosh since the weekend they first opened and while their prices have gone up considerably (which is probably a good thing because they couldn’t have stayed in business long at their original prices – we ordered 1 veggie platter which was enough food to feed four people and it cost us $8), I still find it a good value. I highly suggest you ask for a small bowl of the garlic paste with your meal. Use it to dip bread, veggies, etc. It’s simply made from puréed garlic with a little lemon juice, olive oil and a pinch of salt: Fantastic stuff! I find this restaurant to be well above par. The price range is a little high (entrées $10-$22) but it's well worth it! Highly recommended. |

This place has the best homemade lebaneh (a yogurt dip) and fatoosh salad...
Whomever left the saltlick review obviously knows nothing about Middle Eastern Cuisine or should keep their bland palate at the salad bar! |

Don't bother. Stop at your local feed store and pick up a salt block - it's cheaper than this overpriced place. The service was impatient, the music for the dancer was so loud that our table had to sit silently until she was finished. We drank water for the rest of the night and the next morning trying to clean out the salt! |
