I also placed an online order with these people. After two phone calls in which they repeatedly lied to me about my order and what they would do to fix their mistakes, one pair finally arrived. The second pair never did, and of course, I was charged for both- including shipping. |

I think this company is defunct now, actually... Anyway, I ordered two pair of shoes from them and loved them, so I ordered another pair. I never received it, and in fact never even received shipping confirmation, and they charged my credit card right after I ordered (i.e. before the shoes could possibly have shipped). I contacted them and they assured me they would look into it. I never heard another word. Fortunately I bought with a credit card direct from their site. I called up my cc company and they credited my account while they investigated and I ended up getting all my money back. I'm sad that the company turned out to be so bad because the shoes were great and I really wanted to order another pair of boots in another color! |

I was a cusotmer of the orignal Deja Shoe and they were good people. I am told these guys bought it and really screwed up the original vision and mission of a pure company in trouble. I have heard that the original founder of Deja Shoe has started a company called Jade Planet which is based on the original purity of the original Deja shoe...and 'Jade' is 'deja' scrambled!! I also just heard rumors that she may be buying the trade name back...i would suggest digging deeper into what is really going on before you buy. Love peace and hugs, Alison |

I can't believe they are still cheating people out of money. I ordered shoes in Feb. 2006 and paid in full, I was referred by the HSUS (humane society) to buy from their supporters. Well, needless to say I NEVER received my shoes and they said they would credit my account (credit card) and never did. I attempted to call them and send more emails, I even contacted the BBB. I would have rather donated my $40 directly to the HSUS than deal with these cheats! WARNING... DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Just do a search for Eco friendly or Vegan boutiques in your city, at least you know you'll get your money's worth! |

I ordered five pairs of shoes and they sent it to my billing address instead of my work address as I requested. I had moved and my shoes were MIA and so was my money. Though I was 99% sure I put the right address on the order, I sucked it up. Now I see this message board and I can't help but wonder if they ripped me off. |

I ordered two pairs of shoes from Shoes With Souls a long time ago and they arived over a month after ordering. I understood that they were a small company, so I was grateful because the shoes were good and inexpensive, but they sent me the wrong size on one of the shoes. I emailed them about it and they told me to keep the shoes and they would send me another pair. This is nice of them, but it is almost three months later and I have not recieved the shoes and they have not responded to my over 30 emails. Now the website isn't working, so I get the feeling that I just may have ordered at a wrong time or somehting while they're closing, but still my experience was only half good. The shoes that came in the proper size were good, they are comfortable and durable, but be cautious if you intend on ordering from this company, though I do suspect that if they are no going out of business, they will clean up their act and be more like the company they used to be. |

I ordered shoes back in December and never got them!! I have sent atleast an e-mail a month this entire time. I even contacted the Better Business Bureau and even they had no luck with this company (tried to contact them multiple times). I guess I'm cutting my losses with this one. |

I ordered three pairs of shoes from SWS, when they offered FREE SHIPPING. All three pairs of shoes did not fit the recipients & I was charged FULL shipping on all pairs. Multiple attempts to email and contact SWS proved fruitless. Am selling all shoes on Ebay and losing lots of $$. |

I also ordered 2 pairs of shoes in April that were never delivered. I recieved a phone call a month after more order informing me that my orders would be shipped. The orders have never arrived. After trying to contact Shoes with Souls multiple times with no response, I placed a dispute with my credit card company.
The sad part of this story is that I ordered a pair of shoes in December and the company was timely and the product was excellent. Something went terribly wrong with this organization! |

I originally ordered shoes on sale from this company in the middle of April 2006. After several non-answered e-mails, and with no answer to my multiple calls, I cancelled my order and withdrew my credit card payment. The day after I withdrew this payment, I received another call from an individual who purported to represent 'new management'. He apologized for the inconvenience and told me that if I reordered I would have a radically different experience. I stupidly decided to give the benefit of the doubt to a vegan company. As of today, I have never received any shoes, never been contacted, and have never received any shipping confirmation. I was forced to have my credit card company contest my payment for a second time. Avoid this website or store at all costs. You have been warned. The people running it are extremely unprofessional and do great damage to the vegan community. Hopefully kharma will return all of the time that myself and others have wasted. |

I purchased a pair of Napali shoes back in May 24 2005. They arrived on time. However, I purchased 2 more pair on May 21 2006. After several e-mails and one phone call from the 'owner' saying they were in stock and ready to be shipped I STILL have not received them. I have now called my bank to dispute the charge. The shoeswithsouls (expires on 10/19/7) domain still resolves, but they have shut down the web site.
If you are still waiting for your purchase, act now and dispute the charge with your bank. |

I ordered 4/24, never got the shoes, no response from email, voice mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message.
I had to send a fax and threaten legal action to get someone to respond. Turns out the biz is closing, so if you want a refund, act now!! Also, when I finally got thru the owner was very apologetic, said that the credit card side of things was not supposed to be working and that orders stopped being processed because of that, he didn't know that CC's were still being charged.
(I haven't tried, but he also said that he emptied the voice mailbox and email is now working, too. info@shoeswithsouls.com )
Act quickly, they'll be out of business in a matter of days, it sounded like. |

While the selection is decent the business practices are horrible. I called...and called...and called, and emailed...and emailed again, and no word, nothing. I ended up calling my credit card company and disputing the charge, thus cancelling the order one full month after the initial placement. They don't have the courtesy to return messages or answer the phone, yet charged me the day I placed the order claiming that 'my order has been shipped'. Shoes with souls suck, shop from mooshoes -- they're pricey but they're worth it, at least they deliver on time. |

Ordered 3 pairs of shoes in Feb. during the so-called President’s Day sale with free shipping. My card was charged for all of the shoes and shipping. I only received 2 of the pairs, and they sent one pair in the wrong size. After numerous unanswered emails, I still have not heard back from anyone at SWS. It is almost May. I have called, but no one answers and the machine is so full that I can’t even leave a message. This company is a FRAUD. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! |

My experience is nothing like some of the ones described. I've had no trouble communicating with the company (I've found them to be quite nice) and shipping has not been an issue. Equally important, their shoes are comfortable, durable, and fashionable. |

I ordered through their 'President's Day Sale' promotion where I was SUPPOSED to receive free shipping--did not happen. After repeated emails I have still never been credited for the shipping. I did finally receive the shoes, a month late, but then opted to order another pair of shoes because I liked one pair so much. It's been three weeks since then, have gotten no response, no ship date, but they have my money, of course! I've emailed repeatedly on this order, too, as well as have tried to call. No answer and a full voicemail so I can't even leave a message. They are GONE. Don't order from them. Too bad because the shoes are really high quality. |

I bought several pairs of shoes online, and although it's been an entire month, I still have no shoes. The company sent around a mass email to customers stating that 'due to overwhelming response to our sale, all orders will be shipped on Feb. 20th.' It is now March 1st and my shoes still have not shipped. They have my money and there is no way to get in touch with them. They do not return emails. When I try to call the phone number, I'm sent to an answering machine, which is sometimes full. I have filed a complaint with BBB in San Diego. Being busy is no excuse for not contacting your customers. I am suprised because I've ordered from them before with no problems. |

I saw Shoes With Souls at the GreenFest in San Francisco. I later ordered some shoes off their site. Unfortunately, the shoes weren't designed well (very little cushioning so like being on concrete) so I sent them back unworn as per their return policy for a credit. That's been a few weeks ago and not only have I not seen a credit, but they haven't responded to my emails or phone messages. While I like to support green companies, I'd stear clear. |

Is this site under construction or just trying to be so hip that it's impossible to use? Very unimpressive...sad, since it appears to be an attempt to create an 'upscale' vegan shopping site. I suggest they eliminate some of the contrived 'cool' factor in favor of a more user friendly site. Better for the animals and certainly better for their business. |

VERY disappointing Web site and VERY limited product line. Web site appears only viewable using Internet Explorer and even with that corporate tool, not very well. Oh well. There are much better resources, though I would prefer to buy local. :-( |

I haven't shop here being from the East coast, but felt I had to respond to the reviewer that said she'd rather go to Payless. There are MAJOR differences between cheap made in China shoes and the ones that you refer to as so expensive. The prime issues being; they are much more enviromentally friendly, they don't exploit their workers with slave wages, and you're not supporting a huge corporation. Plus they probably will last longer and feel better on your feet. Vegans should unite against ALL cruelty. Whether it's animal, human, environment, etc... Remember we're all connected. The rating I provided means nothing. I had to submit it to write this. I promise if I visit Shoes with Souls to complete a review. |
